Marshall in Paris: American leads consulting team to victory

United States Champion Frank J. Marshall, who sailed for Europe on the first day of this month, has safely crossed the Atlantic and is now in Paris, where on the 10th inst. he took part in a consultation game at the chess club l'Echiquier. Joining with Marshall to conduct the White forces to victory were the well-known chess patron Léonardus Nardus and B. Hallegua; the Black side was manned by Messrs. M.D. Altintope, de Cramer, and A. Téléguine. The game, in which to our eye the attacking style of the American Master is very much apparent, is reproduced below.
