We are pleased to present a further two games by the new Champion of the City of London Chess Club, Herr Edward Lasker. In the first, played in the preliminary section, Herr Lasker handily defeats Mr. S. Wood in a mere dozen moves, taking quick advantage of the absence of Black's light-squared Bishop from the Queen-side.
In our second offering the new Champion, playing Black in a Ruy Lopez, defeats Mr. G.E. Wainwright, overrunning the enemy position with his Queen and Knights.
More games from this tourney will follow in the coming days.
